The West Central
Ohio Safety Council is an organization co-sponsored
by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Division
of Safety & Hygiene and the Lima/Allen County Chamber
of Commerce. The goal of the Safety Council is to increase
awareness and the importance of safety to area businesses

The Safety Council is open for membership to all companies,
organizations and individual employers in Ohio.
Programs
The West Central Ohio Safety Council has organized 14
safety meetings in 2008 to hear experts speak on the
latest in safety laws and techniques. Also, seminars
are being planned and you will be notified via email
or fax for these special programs.
These safety programs can provide you and your employees
up-to-date information to assist you in providing a
safe and healthy workplace for your organization. Additonally
semi-annual safety council reporting, by member companies,
(from your OSHA log), allows your company eligibility
for yearly safety awards. These awards are distributed
by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation at our banquet
held in April.
Goals
- To promote and establish safety awareness
- To educate on safety techniques
- To exchange safety ideas, information and
procedures among members and their organizations
- To promote cooperation with Federal, State,
and Municipal Safety Programs
- To analyze safety problems, encourage research
and conduct special studies in the field of
safety
- To give each member company the opportunity
to participate in the safety campaign through
the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

Membership Dues
Annual Calendar year dues are:
$30.00 - Main contact/Member
$20.00 - Associate member (an additional person from
the same company)
