Driving Courses
The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce offers a Remedial Driving Course and a Juvenile Driver Improvement Course.
Remedial Driving Course:
This course is offered once a month from 8:00am-5:00pm and is held at 109 North Union. The fee is $85 payable in cash the day of the course – lunch is not provided however a lunch break is given. Classes are limited to 24 students and a picture I.D. is required.

The Remedial Course addresses the following defensive driving topics:
- Personal Responsibility and Driving
- Defensive Driving
- Preventable Collisions
- Hazard Recognition
- The Driving Environment: Driver Conditions, Other Drivers, Light Conditions, Roads and Road Conditions, Weather Conditions, Vehicle Condition and Equipment
- Avoiding Collisions
- Choosing Safe & Legal Behaviors

This course is sanctioned by the National Safety Council.
Juvenile Driver Improvement Course
This course is offered once every other month from 9:00am-3:00pm and is held at 144 S. Main Street Suite 100. The fee is $60 payable in cash the day of the course or by pre-registering at the Lima/Allen County Chamber – lunch is not provided however a lunch break is given. Classes are limited to 24 students and a picture I.D. is required.
